As I write, young Mark is packing his backpack and trying not to fall asleep. It's 01:20 on 1/9/2001, and the geezer needs to get his butt to Birstall by 10am. There is idle chatter of going into town and buying a wallet and a LCFC shirt, but this is clearly just fancy talk.
